Amanda recently suggested moving to eugene to pursue my green energy plans. Interestingly, i'd already been planning on it!
I've actually been in contact with green energy sales persons in oregon on the basis of living/teaching in Eugene and selling mainly in Bend.
Brandon,
I would very much like to pursue you coming to work for us. Are you going to be coming to the States in the near future? If not, we can explore how we go forward via e-mails. Other possibility is do you get up to Singapore or other parts of SE Asia . I am currently doing some engineering work in Vietnam that requires me to be on site every month or so.
We are also looking at another wind machine manufactured by Mariah Power web site: http://www.mariah-power.com/
Look for ward to hearing from you.
Best Regards,
Douglas Railton

Oregon has the best green incentives of any state and bend (as well as oregon generally) enjoys the highest home appreciation in the country.
If you look at the energy maps, solar power in oregon isn't favorable but wind power is. There are a couple of new 'ipod' -like wind generators that contain everything needed to produce 1-10kW of on-grid power and cost below $10k installed. See
